Keith,
Every once in a while I get the urge to look at new radios. I'm lured by
such things as DSP in the IF stages, and more sophisticated computer
control. But then I look at my IC751A, which I've had since the late 80's,
and I remember why I haven't made the big switch. True, there's no DSP,
but there are also no annoying and complicated menus to deal with. I'd say
keep the old radio for as long as you can, and change it only if it truly
doesn't meet your needs, or if it dies and you can't get it fixed.
