There is usually no need to cut off the connector and do soldering. Most of
these connectors have contact that can be pulled out by pressing on a small
tab that is in a slot on the plastic housing of the connector. You can then
re-insert the contact into the middle hole.

Although I am not familiar with the Anec case, I have run into variations on
the connectors before and had to go through the plug modification. You might
first check to see if there might not be a 3-pin power plug on the
motherboard. This would save you any mods altogether.

I'm building a new computer for my granddaughter based on an ASrock MB and
Antec box.  From what I can see the header on the MB expects to see a 2 pin
power LED connection.  The connection at the end of the Antec supplied wire
is a 3 pin with no connection to the center.  I don't believe I've ever seen
a 3 pin setup.  My plan is to snip the 3 pin connector off and solder an
extra 2 pin connector from the Antec front to the wires.  Can anyone see a
problem with this?   Am I reading the connector diagram wrong?
