This just came to me from the qrp list.

This is just a rumour -- well, half of it is anyway -- and it's making the
rounds slowly but surely. :( The IC-703 was discontinued some time ago.
That's why they were available at such a low price during the last few
months. When the rumour of the demise of the IC703+ hit the Internet, some
guys contacted Icom which denied the radio has been cancelled. It appears
there are currently supply problems but Icom has assured us that there are
no current plans to discontinue the model.
