I am a recovering anorexic and bulimic so part of it is fear. In December I
suddenly started gaining weight - unexplained. So I tried to monitor my food
in take to some degree. I later found out that I have mercury toxicity and
am working on reducing that. My metabolism and hormones seem be more stable
again.
I also have leaky gut and food allergies and sometimes I don't trust my
hunger. The leaky gut can cause you to feel hungry and some of the foods I
react to (dairy) not only make me hungry, but I crave sweets even though I
don't eat sweets. Ultimately I know I need to learn to trust my hunger but
until I do and until I am completely healthy, I guess I just wanted some
feedback.
And last but not least, I am concerned about eating too much protein due to
all the posts I have read about "too much" protein in one sitting raising
glucose/insulin much like grains do.
Somebody (I think it was Ashley) suggested eating eggs but I am allergic to
them - unfortunately because I love them.
Thank you Cas, and every body else who has replied to my question.
Kristina
P.S. My Mom finally switched to Paleo and her RA has gotten MUCH
better!!!!!!!!
