I generally agree but I would add to the below statement that people
sometimes *perceive* that freezing somehow "protects" food from aging
and bacteria. Just the opposite is true - bacteria can and does
continue to grow on frozen foods and can then, over time, become (rarely
but sometimes) risky or dangerous to eat. And nutritional benefits
decline over time in a freezer. So I always keep the length of time of
freezing relatively short to avoid the potential bacterial overgrowth
and reduced nutrition.
