Folks, you're arguing/debating the definition of the word "cure". What's the point? Please see the definition below from yahoo.com, I leave it to you to come to your own conclusions. Next topic?
TRANSITIVE VERB:

INTRANSITIVE VERB:
1. To effect a cure or recovery: a medicine that cures.
