Anybody have any idea why this particular diet works? Is it just
restriction of calories. It doesn't appear to necessarily be low
calories -- especially since one can eat meat ad lib. It provides lots
of carbs and not strictly paleo ones either. The pyruvate theory doesn't
make sense because any the carbs allowed would produce pyruvate via
glycolysis. I mean what's special about watermelon but not cantaloupe?
