So what if you are an O type that doesn't want to eat meat anymore for various reasons such as you can't afford to buy grass fed or obtain wild meat and you don't like the thought of the way meat from the grocery store is raised and slaughtered, and you are just plain sick of eating it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you afford to not eat meats ? what is meat for you ? there is so many options that even for the lowest of the lowest income like me many choices of animals are available to anyone in this country . i find meats to be of the best ratio nutrients /cost of all foods , whole grains are good for the ratio calory /cost but are missing more than one important nutrients .
NOt eating any processed foods is in itself saving lot of uselesselly spent dollars . whole frozen small fishes cost nothing for ex .
personally i can't afford to not eat meat and i can't afford commercial meats financially (my income is way below the poverty line )or health wise but my desperate situation got me to become creative .
i find wild meats right there in my house in the form of carpenter ants or termites , non negligeable source of fatty acids and proteins ( i have also mices but am not desperate enough for now ;-)), i became involved in raising animals ,harvesting wild birds, gather road kill , do food exchanges , .I also live close to the ocean ( that helps a lot with oysters crabs shrimps clams and small fishes all easy to gather)
If you live in a city ,there is lot of opportunities to get cheap good quality foods .The few time i go there i am amaze of the bargains .....
when i do buy some meats it cost little to my meals because i also eat dandelions( now especially ) and other wild plants and few vegetables beds provide enough greens....
