Okay, asking your opinion on a situation that happened today. We had cruddy
weather today, rain, sleet, it's even supposed to snow tonight. And knowing
I don't like to drive in that stuff my buddy has offered in the past to
drive me in to work and has done it once or twice before. Last time he said
to call next time I needed a ride in. So today when it was so crummy I
thought he would be coming to pick me up and didn't call. (It's not a big
deal because I had stuff I could work on at home and could actually do
better at home anyway.) He wrote from work and asked why I hadn't called
and I said that I didn't want to impose. Even though he offered, he has a
wife and daughter and the situation could have changed so I thought if he
could pick me up, he would, and if not, he wouldn't. Besides, he's my
friend but he's also a full Colonel (one-step below a General). He wrote
back and said that was B S. So what do you think? Should I call him next
time, even though he knows where I live and already made the offer and knows
I need a ride? Or should he just know I need the ride and show up if he
can?
