I read a thread in the yahoogroups list dedicated to the TH-F6A that may
shed light on this problem.  As I remember it they talked about a switch
that toggles when the power/charging plug is inserted into the radio.  A few
people reported the switch sticking, or at least they thought that was
happening.  I didn't pay close attention to this thread but it may be worth
your while to look at the archives in the group to see what was discussed in
detail.  I think this was mentioned in the last year or so.  I hope this
helps.
