I don't agree.  I don't think Yaesu has any excuse at all.  If Icom and
Kenwood can make the synthesizers optional, Yaesu certainly could if they
wanted.  A couple points.  First, it doesn't cost anything if they build
the option into the original design.  The synthesizer is sold as an option
anyhow.  Second.  It isn't just the blind who use such options.  Many
sighted  people as well, particularly in a mobile situation.

I'll personally not buy a  Yaesu product until they change their policy.
