SOME NOTABLE LIFE STORIES INCLUDE:

"Emergence: Labeled Autistic" - In this book Temple Grandin describes
her life as a person with autism. It is unique in its clear description
of the experience of having autism. The story is also remarkable in that
Temple has a PhD and is today one of the world's foremost experts in
designing and constructing livestock facilities.

"Best Boy" - Best Boy is an Academy Award winning video about Philly, a
man with mental retardation who lived with his parents. The story is
told by Philly's cousin, Ira Wohl.  Except for a brief two year stay in
an institution when Philly was 12, Philly had not been part of the
"system" at all. The story documents his parents failing health, and
Philly's entry into the adult services support system.
