Does anyone know if Citalopram HBR Tabs are gluten-free? It is the generic
equivalent to Celexa (an antidepressant). It just came out on the market and
my health insurance provider substituted it for my regular brand-name drug
without asking or telling me. My health insurance required mail-order
prescriptions, so I had no choice.
I had a problem with another prescription drug that was a generic brand.
When I asked my health insurance provider about its GF status, they told me,
"It is exactly the same as the brand name, so if it's gluten-free then the
generic is too." Well, it turned out that the generic was NOT GF and I was sick
for weeks!! I don't want this to happen again! Any help would be
appreciated! Thanks!
