Since you're issuing a "command line" instruction to the computer, what
you're dealing with here is a "switch" parameter. Switches are always
entered with the designated switch letter preceeded by a forward slash; the
entire expression being set off from the basic command with a space.

Hence, to accomplish what you want type:

chkdsk /f

That oughta do it.
