I bet my building manager would get really peeved if I tried this at home, but it reminded me
a lot of what we used to do as kids (at least until my 2nd brother created a very paleo sort of
grass fire that took out several hundred acres!) and it has my vote for most likely scenario
during quite a few millenia (speaking in general terms, not precise historical
measurements... )
I think that the simplest scenarios, the ones that evoke what we think of as childish simplicity
and naiveté are probably the closest to what really went on.
