Hello, I'm new to this site. I need some paleodiet help please. I went
on a raw paleo diet in order to clear my acne. The diet was the first
thing that really worked for me (other than pricey meds) in 15 years. I
believe that paleo eating really got to the bottom of the problem.
Anyways, as you paleo folks know, animal protein is essential (especially
to me). When I don't eat animal protein for just a few days, I become
lethargic and I start to get skinnier than I prefer. For my skin to stay
really clear I have to eat 100% raw. During these clear skin times I eat
sashimi (Japanese raw fish) for the animal protein. However, after a
while I begin to find raw fish somewhat sickening and I crave cooked
chicken, fish, etc. The problem is that when I eat cooked animal protein
my skin always breaks out a little in acne. As long as I avoid dairy and
grain products, my acne is very minor. Why does this happen? I find it
very frustrating! I have read posts that say that people are more adapted
to raw meat than cooked meat because that was done earlier, but...yuck!
If that is true then why do I have such a "taste" for cooked meat. I
don't cook in oil or overcook. Any advice would be appreciated.
