Omega 3s are very important.  Dr. Sears has a book out called The "omega
zone ?" He goes into research that shows IBF can be helped with high quality
fish oil.  Also, paleo will help it. You will probably have to eat grass fed
beef. Whole foods has it now. The corn and soy that is fed to the animals
may aggravate IBF.
