it's the 'alum salts' on the ingredient list... confused me too... checked it with a friend, a professor of bio-chemical engineering at a prestigious university here... gave me a LONG explanation re the difference between alum salts and aluminium...  [my brain went into immediate glazed-over state :-) ]

so... apparently alum salts are NOT aluminium.
