Okay you guys, perhaps I'm whining here. But this semester is certainly
starting out with a lot of bumps.

Re my online class, I was unable to find the book in alt format, so I
contacted the Disabilities Office. I never heard from them. When I did, it
was with a phone call saying my book, first tape was ready. Because they
closed before I could get off work and get there it was picked up for me.
Theygave John a hard time for picking it up for me. You know students must
have their independence. Then we discovered it was the wrong book. Book
title different by one letter. They picked up the Micro Economics class
book instead of the Macro Economics book. It's not like they didn't have
the title and all pertinent info in writing either. That was the day before
class was to start. So now they are starting on the other book which means
I'm already behind. I went to log in to my class and can't get logged on.
I contacted the first help desk, they don't know what the problem is, so I
contacted the other help desk. Now if this class doesn't work, I need to be
able to drop in time to get a full refund. I don't see how I could pick up
another class at this late date. If I have to drop this one, no fault of
mine, it means I'm out of school for a semester. That was the case last
Spring Semester with my dad being sick. So I'd really not like to be out
this semester. Would you guys just pray for this situation? As far as I
know, no other blind person has attempted online here. So nobody knows if
everything is basically accessible. When I was researching the book for
this class, I even got conflicting information; two different copyright
dates. Finally had to contact the proff about it. Then, they switched me,
just because they could, to another section with a different proff. Guess
that class was full. So it was an arbitrary switch. So prayers
appreciated!!!

Vicki
