Thanks, Deri! This doesn't bother me at all, since I've sort of trained
myself to avoid attachments to keep virus-free. Half the time I don't even
notice them. Plus, I'm lucky enough to have a high-speed connection, and
the size of the files is so small that I don't notice my mail taking longer
to download. It just always annoys me when I can't figure out why things
are happening, so I'm glad we solved the mystery. Just another example of
Microsoft trying to make life easier and making things more difficult, I
guess. If it's really a problem for Mike (or someone else), maybe Meir
setting his mail client to post in plain text only (or cutting and pasting
into a text editor like Notepad first to strip out the code) would fix it.
I don't think it's a big deal, though, and certainly don't want to dissuade
anyone from posting.
