Everyone has to cope with different things. A disability is one of them. I
agree with Kat that a life long disability is easier than one acquired later in
life. Getting older is accelerated in CP, according to research done on the
subject. It's my experience that my muscles are weakening rapidly and my balance
is shot. I will be 68 this month. I am not sure "more
excercise" is the answer, sine the research indicates excercise in some cases
accelerates muscle deterioration.

Perfect sense; the things that I described as my "coping mechanisms" can
be used by anyone, whether they have any type of disability, or whether
they are "normal," which even if I knew what it was, I don't think I'd
want to be.
