Ken,
Would the new law tax all messages sent via internet, or would it only
enable states to effectively collect sales taxes for items purchased
through e-commerce?

well guys, you have all saw the false message that
the government was going to tax each email. of course
it was not true. a federal law forbade the taxing of
the internet.
the federal law is set to run out sometimes in
november. a law to continue the law to keep the
internet tax free has been passed in the house, is in
the senate, but, being blocked by four senators. 2
dems and 2 republicans.
if this law is not extended, things are going to
get messy.
