49C is practically stone cold for an Athlon - start worrying when it gets up around 85.

Subject: [PCBUILD] CPU temperature.
My computer is home built with SOYO-KT333 motherboard and AMD Athlon 2000=CPU. The board came with SOYO Hardware Monitor which displays various voltages and temperatures inside the case. On a warm day after several hours of operation the CPU temperature may reach as high as 119F (49C). Heat sink is instaslled and clean and the fan operates.
Does anyone know what the normal range of temperatures is for a CPU and at what point does high temperature damage the chip?
