Hi all,
I have been given the name Dr. Neil Binkley as a top osteoporosis
specialist (endocrinologist) in Madison, Wisconsin.
Two questions: Anyone know anything about him? Anyone suggest any other
endocrinologist in Madison for significant bone loss?

Situation: Daughter, CD, 19 y.o. with osteoporosis of the lumbar,
osteopenia of the hip.

I realize that much of this will improve just being on a gluten free
diet but she also has some other endocrine issues that could be
impacting her bones and I want her to build bone as efficiently as
possible. She is quite active, which is good, but I worry about that
lumbar.

Just to fill in more of the story. My daughter has a completely silent
(gastrically) case of CD. They discovered it while doing an endoscopy
for GERD. Yet obviously the damage is severe. Probably would have taken
a broken back or hip at age 19 for anyone to even consider Celiac
disease, though even then I wonder if anyone would have considered CD.

Thanks! -deb
