Questions:

Why does the list appear to have gotten so big in the last few
weeks? Is it because it really has gotten bigger? (there were about 800
subscribers 6 weeks ago.) Is it because those 800 people finally decided
to become more vocal? Are more Celiacs getting on line and/or finding this
listserve? Or, is it perhaps, because of this listserve, more people are
getting the word out about CD, getting tested, and finding out that what
has been troubling them for what may seem like forever, could be controlled
with a diet change? (Sorry about the run on sentence.) Personally, I
don't know what I would have done without this listserve. The introductory
packets, FAQ, etc. are invaluable to someone who is newly diagnosed, not to
mention all the support.

I don't think that my doctor is terribly up to date on CD. To his credit
he did diagnose me. I am asymptomatic. I am, I think, only the second or
third person he has diagnosed with CD in probably 25-30 years. He was as
surprised to find it as I was!

My vote would be to either keep the list as is, or if possible add the
Usenet group in addition to, not in place of it.

Cindy
