The November issue of Health has a short article on celiac disease.
It is in the Body Section under Reality Check: "hidden intolerance to
wheat: it's harmful--and not so rare," pages 62 & 63. Dr. Fasano
(University of Maryland) and Dr. Zipser (Harbor-UCLA Medical Center)
are quoted.

In addition there is an article on food labels in the Food Section
under Foodwise: "the top 7 things that matter on the food label,"
pages 152, 155,156 & 157. The 7th item is Allergens. "Meanwhile,
many companies are labeling what isn't in their products, using terms
like 'gluten-free' or 'lactose-free' in an effort to make shopping
decisions easier for people who have allergies or intolerances." At
the end of the article, they indicate that "The trick is for labels
to provide all sorts of answers. Asking the questions is still up to
you."

The magazine is on newsstands now. Information related to letters to
Health is on page 19.
