Has anyone heard of this grain "Teff" as being safe for a celiac diet?

An article appeared in today's Boston Globe about Teff.

It's a staple in the Ethiopian diet, and their runners have been
winning the (coming up in a few days) Boston Marathon regularly
for decades now.

It's reportedly Gluten-Free (some websites say "very little gluten"),
and has a bunch of impressive nutritional characteristics.
One is that its protein is like albumen, i.e. eggs - ?
