I stopped by the brand new P.F. Chang's ( restaurant) that recently opened
up in Portland ( 1139 NW Couch St, 503-432-4000) ( call to have a
gluten-free menu faxed) to pick up a copy of their gluten-free menu-- talked
to the manager--Adam Hart. They use soy sauce in quite a few of their
dishes. He went to the kitchen and brought back a bottle of San-J Soy
sauce which he assured me was gluten-free. I called San-J. They said they
cannot call it gluten-free because of the possible cross-contamination
problem at the plant. So be warned. The manager's mother-in-law has CD so
he may make an effort to locate one they can use. Helen Hecker R.N.
