No, I am not convinced that a product with "wheat" as one of its primary ingredient is safe, despite the vague assurances from Kikkoman.

I did receive a colorful booklet on soy sauce making from Kikkoman, it was entertaining, but not leaving me with any certainty that the gluten is all gone.

Emailers have suggested I stick with La Choy, Angostura, and other sauces that have no wheat in their ingredients.

Several were horrified that I would even consider using Kikkoman.

I got the message:  Until Kikkoman soy sauce is tested for gluten and is negative, I will avoid the product!
