  Geez, I didn't mean to upset you. I was looking for a happy medium. You are right of course, the son should make sure his father has everything possible to make his visit comfortable. Or go and see him. I was viewing the things the all wrong - life being finite and all - and where you shower as secondary to seeing to the ones you love. My mistake.
