Hi all,
To the modderator of cicug-l, here's an idea for a new place to take vicug-l to in the future.
Harry
What about freelists.org? Would that be a possibility?

Hi all,
Thanks to Flora, it works, it works, it really works!!!
I, when I was still connected to the internet, launched MSword 2002, and
clicked next and then just followed the prompts and when I couldn't hear the
next button on some of the pages using JFW, I pressed alt+n which is the hot
key for next, (at least it is on that page), and it worked folks, it
worked!!!
Now, I can use the best word processor out there, the sighted use MSword. I
have a very important board meeting on November 15th, and I want this doc
looking professional as possible.
I love everyone of you 315 folks on this list. This list is the most
important email list a blind or visually impaired computer user can be on.
Now, let's turn the corner and put our heads together everybody, ok?
As you all know, stjohns.edu is not going to have this list on after January
1st next year. We need to put our heads together and move this list
somewhere else.
We *CANNOT* lose this list. And whereever we move this list to, it needs to
have a much easier subscribe method than the stjohns server does. It'd be
nice to send a blank message to a server for example
vicug-l-subscribe@
etc.
That way, the recipient could be subscribed automatically and not have to
jump through several hoops like with the maelstrom.stjohns.edu servers.
So, I know nothing about running email lists, but whoever does, go for it.
You'll have 315 folks goin over to the other server with ya.
Thanks again everyone for caring enough to respond to this problem and other
problems I've had and others had.
As Tom, a blind ham from Michigan said to me on the phone to me sometime
back, "Trippy, we need to help each other, and that's what it's all about
anyway, right?"
take care everyone,
Harry
