Becky,

If you want a non-CD based mp3 player, check out the Iriver model that was
demonstrated on ACB Radio a few months back.  It is clearly accessible and
the interface is like that of windows Explorer.  it is somewhat expensive
but for optimal access, I haven't seen people rave about items in the middle
price range.  it has either been the inexpensive portable Cd players or the
more expensive hard-drive based units.
