Speaking of vegetables, I finally tried one I'd been meaning to - boiled
turnips.  Sorry, but I hate them raw.  Ennyhoo, I cubed 'em up, boiled 'em
and ate 'em -- and they reminded me of potatoes!  Which I sorely miss
(sniff, sniff).  If anything, they were better because they had more flavor.

Before we get into the debate as to whether potatoes are paleolithically
correct, they're not an option for me due to their high carb count.  A cup
of boiled turnips, minus the fiber count, comes to 8.8g carb if memory
serves.  I'm thinking of using them in a low-carb answer to potato salad.
If anyone's ever found nice spices to use with turnips, let me know
privately (as this is not a recipe list).
