If two boxes of slides makes you an expert does a PowerPoint presentation and a digital projector make you god or just a consultant?
I've heard the distance rule before but boxes of slides are pretty out of date out here, even in the hills of Upstate New York (and, yes, I have lots of them but they're not from my area of expertise so they don't do me any good).

If you have a box of slides and are from more than 25 miles away, you are
considered an expert. With two boxes and a thousand miles, you would be an
Expert, and the novelty here in itself should draw an audience.
