Hi all,
One of my friends, Anula Shetty is shooting a digital film in the
first week of June called JUNK MAIL.
She is looking to cast a 22-25 year old actor from the African
Diaspora (from Africa or the Caribbean) for one of the lead roles.
The character is that of a recent immigrant, so he does need to speak
with an accent . Originally she was looking to cast someone from
Ethiopia or Eritrea, but she is having a hard time locating anyone.
If you know of any actors who may be interested in the project or any
African Diaspora theater groups, please forward this notice to them.
They are holding auditions in Philadelphia on Saturday May 18.

ACTORS NEEDED!!!!!!!
We are looking for actors to star in JUNK MAIL, a digital feature
film being shot in Philadelphia.
Set amidst the landscape of tele-marketing, gun catalogs, and the
promise of sweepstake millions, JUNK MAIL follows the experiences of
three Indian women searching for love and political voice in
Philadelphia.
We are looking to cast the following:
RUCHIKA: a young immigrant Indian woman - early 20's (raised in India)
CHAYA: an Indian / South Asian woman, mid 30's
RAHUL : Indian / South Asian man, mid 30's
TSEGAYE - An immigrant Ethiopian or Eritrean male, early 20's (can
also be from any part of Africa or the Caribbean)
Also, South Asian actors of all ages and genders to play a variety of
minor roles.
The film will be shot on weekends during May 25 - June 25, 2002.
Primary shooting will take place June 1 - June 15, 2002
Auditions will be held in New York on Sat May 11 and in Philadelphia
on Sat May 18.
Prior film acting experience is preferred but not required. If
