While Pratik's comments are technically correct, I would consider it
unwise to uninstall realplayer as Real Alternative is not a 100%
substitution for the real mccoy.
RealPlayer continues to get an unfair wrap in the blind community despite
it being exceedingly accessible for a number of years now.
The solution to not seeing the msg center is disabling it.
NOW, IF SOMEONE SELDOM LISTENS to audio, this may not matter.
However, the person who might opt to deal with this problem by getting rid
of RealPlayer and going with another one will one day come back
complaining that they cannot listen to this or that.
Personally, I have 3 players on my system: RealPlayer, Windows Media
Player, and WinAmp.
All have their place and I don't believe, given the growing use of
embedded players, a serious listener to internet streaming can be without
any of them.
