Next week is full of Gluten Free events in Columbus Ohio!
April 27th Gluten Free Gang meeting at Children's Hospital , Education
Building , Lower Level ED025A
April 26 - 30 is Gluten-Free Week at the ViewPoint Bistro
The ViewPoint Bistro, housed in the Drake Performance and Event Center, is a
60-seat white tablecloth restaurant with river views. The Bistro serves as a
training site for students in The Ohio State University's College of Human
Ecology's hospitality management program. As a teaching restaurant, students work
closely with Supervising Chef Jim Garrett and Patti DeLano, Coordinator of the
Hospitality Management Student Experience to receive hands-on training in
all dimensions of hospitality management with an emphasis on customer service
To prepare for the week a team of students will research issues surrounding
serving customers with food allergies and work with the Chef and local Celiac
support group(www.columbusceliac.org) to highlight gluten free items onthe
regular menu and to develop gluten free offerings for the week's specials..
Lunch is served 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday; Dinner is served 4:30-7 p.m.
on Tuesdays through Thursdays .
Reservations are required Call 247-7873. Reception and banquet services are
also available.
Saturday May 1st "Making Tracks for Celiacs" walk at Fred Beekman Park on the
Campus of the Ohio State University.
This event also includes a silent auction with over 50 items and a raffle.
