The answers about rinsing rice semeed to be a matter of personal choice and
ranged from, "I ALWAYS rinse rice before cooking", to "Never rinse, and my
rice tastes great".  Reasons given for rinsing included, "whether it is
starch or dust, it cleans the rice and each grain is separate when cooked".

No comments at all were made about the possible cross-contamination with
wheat from shared processing equipment.
