With all the recent discussion as to which packaged cereals are gf, I just
wanted to remind the list that the
President's Choice cereal called Ancient Grains Corn Blend is marked gluten
free. (This information was last posted in 1999, when it was referred to as
Ancient Grains Golden Maize.) It is made in Canada, and is distributed in
the US as the house brand for Jewel-Osco in the midwest. The cereal tastes
rather like Nature's Path Mesa Sunrise, though somewhat sweeter. Jewel is
owned by Albertson's, so I presume the cereals are available in the
Albertson's chain as a whole. I have not contacted the manufacturer, but am
satisfied with the package labeling.
