Dear listmates,
My niece is 20 months old and has a very big, round belly and pale stools -
but other than that virtually no other symptoms of celiac.  She recently had
a blood test which revealed positive antibodies for celiac (I'm also
celiac).  We are in a predicament as to whether she should have a biopsy now
or whether we should wait until she is a little older since she is healthy
and gaining weight.  Does anyone have any information on childhood
diagnosis?  I was diagnosed a few months ago, at age 26, so we are still new
at this.  Any information anyone has would be helpful.  Her pediatrician has
left the decision to her mother and it will be quite some time until a
specialist can see her.
