My friend is planning for the three of us a two-week trip in Japan over the
Christmas/New Year's holidays, visiting Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima,
Miyajima, Matsuyama, and Kochi. Needless to say, I'm a bit nervous about
the trip. However, it helps a lot that my friend's son is living in Kochi
for one year and will be travelling with us. He is fluent in Japanese!
I would appreciate very much from any of you familiar with Japanese foods
and drinks, as well as local stores, to give advise on what's OK and
what to avoid. I've checked the archives and find several postings
without summaries. I'm aware we can buy rice crackers, but GF bread? Will
I need to bring my own bread from home? Your responses would be most
welcome! And I promise to summarize! Thanks a lot!
