Hi all-

This is strange. I have the 7kjd MB & an AMD 1700 CPU. Nice heatsink/fan.
256DDR PC2100-- all are at 266FSB.

Hooked up a HD, CD-ROM & loaded XP fine.

From there, I wanted to use Sisoft Sandra to run a "burn-in". I decided to have a look at everything first to see if there were any issues to address.

Sandra reports "Vcore too high" & "mainboard temp. too hot". The board was at default (BIOS is supposed to set the Vcore). I went in & reduced the Vcore voltage as low as I could- to 1.55 & it still says the same warnings. It's not even warm in the room it's in.

The fan runs fine on the CPU & adjusts for temps. It seemed to hit around 32C/89F & stay there.

Any ideas here?

TIA,

Lynn Tracy
