Hi,
   I am 22 years old and have Spastic Diaplegia Cerebral Palsy. My mother and
I are looking into moving into the Phoenix area. I am worried about the
support services in Arizona. We currently live in St. Louis Missouri.

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the services available in
Phoenix and how good or bad  they are. Currently I have an attendent 6 hrs a
day 7 days a week. Would that be possible there? I also recieve services
through the local regional center for therapies and equipment needs etc. Do you have
anything like that? If so how long are the waiting lists?  Also here we have
the wheelchair althelic association and several rec programs for physically
disabled adults. What is it like in Arizona?

My other major concern is my social security check and medical insurance. I
currently recieve social security since my dad died and have both medicaid and
medicare. Do you have medicaid spendown in arizona?

Thank you for any help. It is always nerve wrecking just thinking about
switching all my services.
