Epson gives no consistent answer to this question:
Is is possible to use a document feeder to scan a page larger than 8.5*11
inches on a flatbed scanner which is 8.5*11 (11*17 inch or 8.5*14 inch pages
for instance)?  some people say that is is done; that the document feeder
being wide enough can pass the 11*17 inch page across the scanner's glass.
 Others say that the only thing the document feeder does is allow for
batch scanning, and nothing alrger than the scanner's glass can be scanned.
It'd be odd if one could not use an ADF to scan pages larger than the
scanner's glass, yes?
