Hi Theola,
I don't want to spoil the fun of losing 5 pounds - I hope to do that too
using this SLD but someone said a while ago on this list that if one loses
more than a pound a day one is losing muscles, not fat. In doing that the
body lowers its metabolism because fat does not use as much calories as do
muscles. This is how I understood it.
When one stops losing and starts eating more normal again one will gain
weight because now the body has less need for calories. Perhaps it helps to
exercise a lot while losing weight? I don't know - I only want to be sure I
don't lose muscles.
I've always been told that when you want to lose weight it is not necessary
to exercise, just to eat less or better. I've become a bit suspicious about
this. Perhaps exercise is necessary?
Can anybody shed som light on this matter?
Eva
