I just posted an interesting interview with Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, from a
recent Life Extension magazine, on my web site:

see also:

and
http://www.vitaminb17.org/new_anticancer_treatment.htm

I have studied cancer for many years now and personally I think Dr.
Burzynski's "cure" is one of the most promising mainstream treatments. After
years of hounding Dr. Burzynski, I'm glad to see that his methods might
actually be embraced by the powers that be. Note that I said his was the
best "mainstream" treatment, too. I feel that there are better methods of
cancer treatment that don't involve drugs at all and also very
affordable...but I will admit there are people who a) want someone in a
white coat to prescribe a cure for them and b) expect to spend a lot of
money in the process; as if the amount of money spent somehow equals the
quality of the drug they are taking. For those people, I think Burzynski's
treatments will fill the void. If you read the article, the treatments have
to be drastically slowed down or the tumor can dissolve so fast that the
dying cells of the tumor can kill the patient. Compare that to current
methods, where it is the treatment that kills the patient!

I think the pharmaceutical companies will actually go for the treatments as
well, since the drugs are expensive and, from what I have read, basically
have to be taken for the rest of the person's life. And lets face it, that
is the bottom line for any cancer treatment. If it doesn't make more money
than killing people with chemo and radiation, it will not see the light of
day in America. A sad but 100% true comment.

For those that don't read the interview, one of the most interesting
comments from the interview:

Burzynski: Yes. We've noticed that people who get antineoplastons for cancer
treatment receive other benefits as well - for example, they are resistant
to common viral infections. Their blood cholesterol is normalized and they
are less susceptible to breast cancer and enlargement of the prostate. Their
skin is healthier, they are less depressed, and they have more energy.
