Thanks so much, everyone, for all the helpful and
encouraging messages, both on- and off-list. My wife
and I are still negotiating, but it looks like I'll be
transitioning into paleo eating after Christmas. In
the meantime, I'm stocking up on sale meats for the
freezer and researching some of the organic options in
our area. We have a bison farm nearby and an organic
meat department in a local health food store.

I especially appreciate people's perspectives on cost.
Our budget is limited due to a recent layoff, so it
helps to get ideas about how to do "frugal paleo."
