As I'm sure you are aware, it is always best to check with a child's
physician or allergist whenever you are unsure about the safety of a food.
Tagatose or Naturlose is a simple sugar that uses deproteinated whey as the
raw material from which it is made. Whey is a by-product in the making of
cheese and it's understandable that persons would make an association
between the two. That association is however, incorrect. Tagatose is
perfectly safe for persons who have allergies to dairy products. You ask if
the "milk protein will be clearly market on the label..." but there is no
protein here, this is a simple sugar molecule that has no dairy properties
whatsoever.
Thank you for expressing your concern and for contacting Spherix regarding
this matter.
Sincerely,
Mr. Terry Nelson
