You might see a peaceful and a violent side in muslims but there's only a peaceful side to Islam.

N'Dour's CD shows peaceful side of Islam

NEW YORK - Youssou N'Dour will launch a North American tour with June
25-26 shows during Canada's Ottawa International Jazz Festival.
The acclaimed Senegalese artist will play 19 stateside dates, including
a return to his role as headliner of the fifth Great African Ball, set
for July 9 in New York.
N'Dour is touring in support of his latest Nonesuch album, "Egypt." Due
June 8, the set is an introspective, devotional journey to the heart of
N'Dour's faith as a Muslim.
Most of the album was recorded in 1999 with an Egyptian weekend.orchestra and
traditional Senegalese musicians in Cairo and Dakar, and thought by the
artist to be "too private" for release.
"My religion needs to be better known for its positive side," he
recently told Billboard about why he changed his mind and released the
set. "Maybe this music can move us toward a greater understanding of the
peaceful message of Islam."
N'Dour will play the Keswick Theatre in Glenside on June 30.
