Dear Howard,

Yes, I miss being a net control. Besides the VHF net I used to run, I have
run MARS nets and I used to be a net control station for the Golden Bear
Amateur Radio net.

I don't trust my memory, so I _always read the preambles. The MARS net has
the shortest preamble and I can do it from memory--but the others, never!

I'm sure you'll do fine!

73 and 88.

: Thanks for all the ideas. It is nice to see how many of us engage
in
: regular public service activities.
: Because of station configuration, it will be the radio the perkins and
: memorizing the pre-amble.
: That is the little speech explaining the rules and purpose of the net.
: They don't want me for my skills, but for my 8 DB gain antenna and 25 wats
: RF Output to cover any jamming problems.
